Administrator Help

I need help getting administrator privileges on my own computer. No one has ever used it except myself and occasionally my wife. Yet I do not have Adimin. priveleges. I hope someone can tell me how to correct this. I have tried to change it but it does not work.

That hasn't worked for me.

Create a new account and set it as an Administrator account. Then you can delete the first account.

If you don't have administrator access, changing the account type or adding a new account is going to be difficult.

Who set up the computer? What are you trying to do?

Changing account types did not help. I set the computer up but I must have done something wrong. When I try to change a cfg. file it will not let me save it. It tells me I need admin. approval.
