Most of my addon AC is from Captain Sim but I do have the PMDG 747-400x. It is a high quality addon and worth the money paid for it. Yeah and I agree $79 bucks is a pop in the wallet when the ol' lady's already complaining because you spent $1200 on a guitar and then want another FSX addon. But what can you do?

They are not your common or garden aerosoft, or cls, or justflight ship... They have totally detailed systems simulations, with beautiful aircraft modeling and texturing. The work alone is worth the cost. Thier js41, is a beautiful aircraft to own and fly...

I have the CLS Airbus 330-340 and the Boeing 747-200-300 and enjoy them both. They are quite detailed and that's really what i was wondering if the PMDG's could be worth the $30 difference in the price for the twp bit I got the other two at sale prices. I got the CLS Airbus for $16 and the 747 for $25 so maybe there is a significant difference, lol At least i would hope so i was looking at buy the 737-800 or MD 11 and they are much higher but if they are worth it I don't mind. So again thanks for your input i appreciate it.

I don't own the product, but from all I've read and seen, this a/c is about as real as it gets....

In my opinion, it should actually cost MORE for what it entails. It could probably be used as a 737 simulator for both real world and sim pilots.

So it's not overpriced by a long shot....

I'll make a comparison, you can fly the CLS ships with a cursory glance at the manual, or even with the basic skills of the default ships... they don't need much to operate.

To even OPERATE most of the PMDG ships, you need to read the manual, practice, read the manual more, and practice. They are as detailed as flightsim aircraft get, and yes, almost as detailed as a desktop sim can get without being full motion.

When PMDG announced the price of the 737 NGX I was quite shocked. I thought it would cost considerably more. After flying their 747 & JS41, I would have happily paid twice the price.
