Fdc live cockpit issue

Can anyone offer any help in adding a new plane to the program using the performance editor? I'm not having much luck on the forum. Where do you find flap increment information for a plane? I've looked over the aircraft config file and don't understand the code at all. Also, to set a new performance file, a lot of technical information seems to be required and I have no idea where to find any of it. It's really too bad Aerosoft didn't include a larger selection of planes. I was looking over the newer program ( mine is probably ten years old ! ), but I really do not see a lot of difference from what I have. I would love to be able to use the Embraer or the Bombardier, the L1011, ect. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks
