@tigisfat and RyanbATC ... Thank you for the comments. I am in the process of updating the website and sorting out the distribution and will release some progress shots and details in the next few weeks. It is planned for release around the first or second week in December.

....The "retro pack" of the 402 will be around $30 and will include the c402b, c402c. The second release will be the C421C III and the C425.

Thanks wolf2 and Cool7...it will unfortunately be for FSX only and possibly Xplane10...

You do realize that you are laying yourself wide open to Textron's legal department, especially if you sell it!

C'mon, what're you doing? Just because one or two people have had tanglings in the past doesn't mean thousands of people aren't left alone. Those who get into it with the companies are those who ask for permission. Lawyers have no choice but to refuse permission as a default when asked. Can we let this topic die and not bring it up again? This guy's trying to do something cool here.

I am also working on the MD-600N just to keep a tab on all the projects...if progress seem slow it is probably because I am working on this model...

I agree. I also know that he already has had contact from them. At the time it was unclear as to if this would be free/pay. Making it payware and already being on the radar seems like it might be a problem. Ever think I might possibly be concerned for the guy?

@N2056 ...You posted on the develpers site in August 2011 ..."Have you exported this into the sim yet? I ask because I have seen this scenario play out many times. You have a great model there, but you might be in for a very bad surprise when you try to get it into the game. Most of us constantly export as we build (several times a session here) to catch problems when they materialize, as they are sure to do so. At that point it is usually easy to determine where the problem is.

Additionally, considering the fact that you already communicated with Textron I would guess that they might be watching for this model to surface minus the licensing they have already told you about. Are you ready to deal with that potential problem? "

I replied... "I export as I go and the model exports fine..it is a simple model and there are no textures or animations yet. I am dealing with Textron and will consider buying a license if the model warrants it" I am aware of the legal issues and have looked into it before I decided to make it payware/ freeware...but thanks for your concern.

From now on I'll just stay quiet here and elsewhere. Your models look great. I hope they do well for you.

No harm done Robert.... It is, as you probably know, not all that easy to spend all your free time working on something... learning as you go while keeping everyone happy and covering all the bases. Hopefully it is worth the effort.
