Hi community,
I have been in the FS community since FS98. I've learned to tweak our favorite sim up the wazoo, but I have never had time to learn painting (due to work and family)
so I have a small favor to ask please. If possible, would somebody be good enough to look at one single texture for me please?
I have an FS9 aircraft that I have successfully imported into FSX, actually, it is a group of aircraft; the Aerosim Classic Liners Series 1. All of them seem to work OK, except for
one area of the Boeing 747; looking out of the windscreen, I see what looks like a 'flashing mesh', almost like flywire over the clear glass. It flashes on and off, and it's very annoying.
I noticed when I had the aircraft in FS9, that whilst flying, there was an effect on the outside of the windscreen that looked almost like the visible slipstream of the air that ones sees
when you are really flying. As a result of this, I experimented by removing all of the effects files associated with this aircraft, but had no luck. One of my friends mentioned 'alpha channels',
which I admit that I know nothing about. He said to me that maybe if the Bitmap was cleaned up to be as white (transparent) as possible, this may fix the problem for me.
So, I am wondering if anybody would be good enough to do this for me please?
I have noticed on the glass bitmaps for the other aircraft, that there appears to be some 'dirty areas' to make it look like the wipers have been on on the aircraft. This is visible with the 747
also, but I do not have the transparency issue with the other aircraft, only the 747. Weird.
Anyway, the file is only a 1Mb Bitmap, so is anybody able to help please?
Many thanks,
Andrew.
