Thread: CS vs QW 757

Hybrid View

  1. Question CS vs QW 757

Which version do you think is better, the Captain Sim or Quality Wings 757 for FS9.
Or is there any other version of the 757 you prefer?

Captain Sim is the best....the "Quality" Wings 757 has pretty stupid systems and it doesn't even have wipers lol...even the PSS 757 has wipers . So yeah, go for the CS 757, it's the best you can get.

Quite awhile back, the CS 757 was really getting slammed on the Avsim FS9 board. There seemed to be a number of support issues. I wouldn't go so far as to say QW has stupid systems. As with anything else, the purchaser needs to read the description. QW makes it very clear that this plane is not for those that are looking for heavy flight systems. I backed away from the CS 757 because of what I read at Avsim. If you want realism, I would go with the Level D version. Just my 2 cents.

Level D 757? My CS 757 has no bugs at all. Of course there are a lot of people with crap PCs so what better way to express their frustration then writing on forums that the Add-on has issues. I'm assuming that's what you read on forums. Yes, it's heavy on the FPS (actually, in my case, FS doesn't lag at all and I have tones of add-ons installed) but if your PC can't handle it, it's your problem not the Add-ons.

Anyway, SuperEagle I just answered to your question, it's up to you what you buy

I think CS released the 757 in "blocks", i.e. first the plane, then the panel, etc. Everyone was mad at them because they thought they weren't finishing the new blocks fast enough and that's what most of the ruckus on Avsim was about I believe. Now that it's finished (I guess) I think most that own it feel it is a good product. I don't have the CS one, I bought the QW instead. Although I don't even have it installed anymore, I thought it was pretty good. I'm not really into heavy systems simulation but I was able to get the FMS to fly me where I wanted to go so I was happy with it. I like the idea of "easy mode" too where Ctrl+E get's you fired up and all autopilot functions behave like default aircraft. Sometimes I don't want to work that hard and would rather just kick back and enjoy the scenery .

The CS 757 is a dog. The worst payware add-on I have purchased and I am sure everyone that has had problems with it has a "crap PC". Wipers, who cares. Nothing like a fanboy to give you the straight poop. Don't waste your money on the CS. Yes I have both.
