Quick question:

Any recommendations for increasing frame rate in FSX with ORBX PNW scenery?

When running ORBX at the recommended settings, it is not so great.

Currently getting about 15-20 fps and it seems a bit choppy across three 17inch monitors. Reduced down to the center 17inch alone, it smooths out.

Rig has:

780i FTW mobo
E8400 wolfdale processor (not OC'ed)
ATI 4870x2 GPU
etc,etc,etc

should I keep the gpu but upgrade the cpu to a i-7 and bring up a new mobo with that?

I am told that, and all the benchmark testing I've seen indicates that FSX is CPU dependent, not GPU dependent.
