Default Orcas Island to Coeur d' Alene, Some New Toys

I recently crawled out from under my rock, spent some money, and sort of got myself up to date with current technology. I built myself a new i7-2600K machine and have so far loaded it up with 12 Gb of Orbx stuff. Had a little trouble getting the gfx card to anti-alias like it was supposed to, but with the help of Nvidia Inspector I think I've got things looking pretty good. Last but definitely not least not I finally ditched the dial-up connection and got one of these 4G hotspot thingys. Well, 4G hasn't happened here yet to begin with, and where I live, 3G is all but non-existant too, but even with the lousy connection speed due to the poor cell service, it's way better than dial-up and I'm a happy camper.

I treated myself to a nice new payware yesterday, the Carenado T210 Centurion. It's beautiful, I did a flight from Orbx Orcas Island to Coeur d' Alene Idaho, here are some shots from the new machine. The 2nd from the last is my favorite:

    The new machine:

    Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3
Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge @ 3.4GHz (no OC - yet)
    CORSAIR H60 Liquid Cooling
    8Gb Kingston DDR3 2000 (@1866 mHz)
EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB
    Crucial 256Gb 6Gb/S SSD (x2)
WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s
    CORSAIR GS800 800W power supply
    ASUS 27" LED/LCD Monitor

    Thanks for looking!

    Jim

Congrats on the new system Jim,your shots are absolutely beautiful. ORBX and a new system sure makes a difference doesn't it? You made a great choice in aircraft with the T210,i just love flying her and i'm sure you will also.

Thanks everybody for the nice comments. I can hardly stay out of the sim long enough to eat, drink, and use the restroom with this new setup, I'm having so much fun. I guess I've officially made the switch from FS9 to FSX, but I have FS9 installed on the new machine too and have been getting it all set up as well. I've got too many cool FS9 addons to be FSX exclusive. That said, I must install more Orbx stuff! ...and didn't Flight1 have a brand new Skylane? I haven't added REX yet either, I converted Pablo's HDEv2 for use in FSX for the shots above. The VC of the Eaglesoft CXv2 was more than my old machine could deal with, so one of the things on my list is to fire up FS9 and do a CX flight from the VC, just updated my airacs, can't wait!

Thanks for the nice comments everybody, have a great day!

    Jim

REX is a must Jim,as for the Flight1 Skylane,i had it and got a refund, personally i don't think it can come close to Carenado stuff, inside and out, especially inside.I have freeware that looks better than that to be honest, and it sure isn't worth fifty bucks in my estimation, but then again you may like it.I like the Carenado Commander 114,or if you like twins there is the Carenado Beech Baron 58,or the RealAir piston or turbine.Anyway Jim there are a lot of nice choices,if you have a question about a certain plane,i'll be glad to help.
