I recently tried to access the FSX cfg file to try and make a couple of tweaks in respect of adding the Highmem fix and Bufferpools. However upon trying to do this I was unable to open FSX again and had to unistall and then reinstall-I obviously did something wrong.I have since seen on various forums the need to back up my files before making any tweaks within the cfg file.
I am therefore wondering whether anyone can help me in respect of how to back up these files, which files need backing up and how to do it and where they should be backed up to.In addition when I get to the cfg file do I need to always open it up in notepad?
In advance I thank you for your help and please excuse the fact that I am not that 'techy'
