Default David Opa Marshall's (Opaplano) Death

It is with my most deepest regrets that I have to tell all that David Opa Marshall, known here as Opaplano, passed away last Thursday of a heart attack. His daughter, Mary, sent e-mails to some of his contacts to tell of his death. Opa was a great man and was a true friend, even though I never met him in person. He has helped many, including myself, with all his posts and uploads. He will be sadly missed by all. Happy flying in the beyond, Opa. Rest in peace. Bob.

Read this on another forum this morning. David was the first to help and he had many answers....He was a gentleman to the end

I learned a lot from Opaplano, and I have many questions.

I came here for a question, but that's not important anymore.

Lots of strength for the family in this days and for later.

    We will miss him.

He forgot more than I'm likely to ever know about flight simulator. I've only been around here for about a year but already he helped me out on a couple of things. What a nice, friendly fellow too!

My condolences to you more senior guys who knew him a lot better than I did. Things are never going to be the same.

I am so stunned with disbelief. My friend David has passed on. I along with the rest of the FS community will miss him terribly.

    My condolences to his family.
