ILS landing problem

On my last 2 flights when coming into land the aircraft is not alligned properly with the runway and tends to be landing beside it.I have entered the correct ILS frequency which obviously was activated in NAV1.

I am wondering whether or not I am entering the ILS frequiency too early as on the last flight I entered it at the departing airport.

I am also wondering whether or not this is a common fault sometimes as I have not experienced this before.

I would appreciate some help.

It's common, but not a fault.
Some runways have offset ILS guidance (as in real world). In the end it's the pilot who has to land the plane.
I advise looking at some charts before doin' a given ILS approach. The rwy 13 ILS at old Kai Tak wasn't supposed to be flown "all the way" either .
