the strangest thing I've ever seen in fsx

I recently joined a multiplayer session and chose my PSS concorde. As usual, fsx didn't let me spawn on the runway but in the air, switched to aircraft view and well....then I saw this

[ATTACH=CONFIG]undefined[/ATTACH]

These strange "fire balls" only appeared when I turned the lights on by pressing "L".
I never noticed such a weird thing since I own fsx. Don't know if something's wrong with the model, what would be your guess?

I have no idea what this is supposed to simulate. Leading edge heat-up ? Flares for an incoming IR guided SAM ?

But since it's activated by the "L" key, most likely you'll find entries for it in the [lights] section of the aircraft.cfg.
To get rid of it, find the lines and comment "//" them out.

Yours is definitely more visually cool than mine, but a couple of days ago I was flying North thru the Newhall Pass outside LA and I saw two houses flying in formation about 1500 AGL Southbound. What's up w/ that?? Anybody else had any bogies like this?
