    Thumbs up Tropical Paradise

    Hey guys.

Continuing with the tropical theme, I thought I'd share a few pics of my short hop from Temae, Moorea (NTTM/MOZ), Faa'a International Airport (NTAA/PPT) in Tahiti this evening, aboard Air Moorea's ill-fated Twin Otter F-OIQI. The aircraft tragically crashed into the sea shortly after taking off from Temae on 9th August 2007, with the deaths of all 20 aboard. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Ai...in_Otter_crash

Anyway, on a happier note, here are the pics. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for viewing, have a nice day.

Thanks Henrik. Don't worry, the only thing I'm hunting is the bar.

refreshing shots, sad story ! But we all play roulette every time we board any aircraft for any flight no matter how far the flight is and this is an example! It hauntingly reminds me of a flight from TAPA to COCO airport in Barbuda. It was a smaller plane and I got to sit up front with the pilot, I was a little shaken about getting on the aircraft. It had duct tape of the props (probably securing a crack in the prop) and the artificial horizon guage was so old it was showing a 45 degree left bank when the aircraft was sitting on the ground! I told the pilot about it and he tapped the guage and it leveled out ! I prayed the whole flight that the 20 bucks US I paid to set foot on the ground in Antigua wasn't going to be my last known transaction!

The flight was a good one non the less for wear! But that is what life is in these regions! The pilot must trust his plane and you have to put your trust and life in the pilots hands!

Mav, Ted, Adam and Jan, thank you fellas.

Mav: The artificial horizon always goes out of kilter when the engines are off in prop aircraft, nothing to worry about.
