Can't change view!

Hi.

I have recently bought FS98 and it seems to run fine except for one thing, I can't change the view because everything turns black and all I can see is the panel!

Everything is fine when i start a new flight but when I try to change the view eveything goes black, the game is still running and you can hear the sounds but you can't see anything except for the panel.

I have Windows Vista and I am wondering if that could be the problem.

Please help me, I really want to play this game!

I'm on Windows 7 and had to run it in Compatibility Mode "WindowsXP(Service Pack 3)" to get everything to work OK.
Right Click "fltsim98.exe", Properties, Compatibility. If Vista has that feature, you should be good to go...Don

Thank you for trying to help me but I don't have the WindowsXP(Service Pack 3) option, only the WindowsXP(Service Pack 2) option. I tried to run the game with it anyway but the problem is still there. I am really at a loss as to what I should do

I guess I'd try all the compatibility options that are available. Win 7's list goes all the way back to Win 95 so one of them might work for you.

My FS98 runs OK on Win 7 compatibity mode, but, it runs much better on the computer with Win95/98SE...Don

Sorry for not responding sooner but I have been busy.

The truth is that I have tried every compatibility option available and not one of them works. That stupid black screen still appears when I try to change the view

Maybe you can go to the manu bar, then to View, View Options..., and check Auto-Full Screen. You may also press [ in case that doesn't work.
