Thread: Auto-save - a new feature?

    Thumbs up Auto-save - a new feature?

Not sure of this is correct place to post this but..........

A few days ago I was typeing a rather lengthy reply in one of the forums. I got distracted and then accidently closed my browser before I was finished and submitted the reply.

When I came back and started the reply all over again, I noticed an option (bottom left of the screen I believe) to "restore saved content" or words to that effect. I had never noticed that before - although I have been seeing an "auto-save" notice happenning occasionally on the bottom right of the screen.

To make a long story somewhat shorter, I selected the "restore" option and low and behold, it restored everything I had type previously to the reply I has just started.

WOW - that saved a great deal of typeing over again.

If this is a new feature, it is wonderful - if it is an old feature that I had just not noticed before, it is still wonderful.

    Thanks Flightsim!!

    Hi David,

No, it is pretty new! As you are typing a response you may notice a very little pop-up open in the lower right of the reply window that says Auto-Saved. It is pretty quick and then it goes away until the next save.
    Thanks,

    Jim
