Thread: PAI FDE-files install help needed

  1. Default PAI FDE-files install help needed

I tried to install the "Project AI FDE-files,but have some questions. After install I don't find any Pai-aircraft anymore in the "select aircraft" area of FS2002.Is that normal? And is it right that my folders are containing now:1 model folder,1 sound folder,1 or more texture folders,1 aircraft.cfg,1 aircraft_old.cfg,1 pai300.air,1 paiv2.air?Is it necessary to copy and paste all my repaints from aircraft_old.cfg to aircraft.cfg?
The read me text is not very clear about that...

    Thanks for help,

    Hans

    1) Back up the aircraft_old.cfg somewhere in a temp-folder
    2) Delete the aircraft_old.cfg
    3) You should now have 1 aircraft.cfg per aircraft folder
    4) Back up the pai...air somewhere in a temp folder
    5) Delete the pai...air folder
    6) You should now have 1 pai...v2.air per aircraft folder
There is nothing more to do

If you want to show up pai aircraft in the aircraft selection menu of FS2002 you should alter the aircraft type in the air file from 2 to 0. You can do this with the program aired.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards and Happy Landings!
