Thread: Please Help before I throw the computer out the window

  1. Default Please Help before I throw the computer out the window

    Hi.

In the past two days I have attempted two long hauls to Barbados using vatsim. Both times it has crashed one 4 hrs into the flight and today 20nm out of the airport after nearly 8 hrs of flying. These things are annoying, compounded by the fact im trying to log hours at a VA and talking to app controllers. Im sick of the instability of this Sim and wonder, is it the sim or my system. Today I looked at the report log for the problem and it told me :

Can anyone help as to why this damn thing keeps crashing and I keep wasting time and electric bills for nothing.

Any help would be great Im really very frustrated.

    Thanks

    Steve.

your problem is likely with addon sceneries, probably in bad installs.

    Hi,

The file causing the crash is: "Fault Module Name: PMDGSounds.dll"

It is not any scenery you have installed.

To test try the same flight in a default FSX plane. If you don't get the crash, head over to the PMDG Forum at AVSIM and post your findings for them to look into.
    Thanks,

    Jim

Which PMDG product are you using when this occurs?
