Hasn't damage modelling been around since FS-2002 or so?

Aside from the usual general improvements...

Improved UI with a standard window that can be sized to any resolution instead of being a fixed size
Virtual Hangar, allowing you to view fully rendered aircraft and perform maintenance without loading a flight
Integrated add-on store to simplify and consolidate add-ons and their updates
    Photo mode for enhanced screenshots
    Support for mapping mouse buttons

An option to revert the world to any decade in the 20th century. Feasible if landclass, vectors, textures will be coming from the Net, but a whole lot of research to get there.

    Removed in FSX.

I would like to see a moving map in my kneeboard
I would like the use of a grab hand to move the map in map view
I would like to see a folder/tree type system for saved flights and have them available in FSX folder instead of the Documents folder
I would like to be able to press buttons in VC and 2D mode with the crosshair cursor
I would like to double tap any gauge and have it enlarge
I would like an icon button for turning on and off the popup gages so they stay on screen when changing views
I would like a way to move your eye position left and right along with the existing seat up and down and zoom commands

    Oh yeah..
I would also like to see more empty attach points on all aircraft for mission making purposes.

  7. Default 64 bit copatability

Microsoft has had a great FSX but due to hardware upgrades & most suppliers using MS windows 64 bit to ahieve full functionality,
It is unbelievable that Microsofts own products are incompatable with each other.
For their next release it would be inconcievable for it not to be compatable with their operating systems.
Does anyone know their platform intentions

How about this ... we have hexa-core processors now... the Intel i990x has 6 cores each running at 3.43 something gigahertz? that's 3.43x6 = 20.48ghz of power ... why not spread the threads through each core; aircraft physics, terrain,
scenery, light, etc...etc. Intel has already given examples of rendering using multiple cores ... then again, not many people own this kind of system but you can still develop the FS architecture to be based on pipe lines of information, so
that it can distribute the load across cores if it can.

Oh but wait, don't we have multi-threading enabled? Well now that's more like 12 logical cores ... think 40ghz of power with all that insane power and insanely powerful video cards, I find it hard to believe that today's games are struggling
to even hit 40 fps ... the technology is there but nobody seems to know how to use it or they either ABUSE IT by adding more than is required.

Those are the best improvements that could happen...and surprisingly, quite easy, it shouldnt require a big effort for Microsost. It certainly easier than go around improving textures and mesh.
They own Virtual Earth, so the tiles are there, just some blending needed, water, etc.
The rest is in the flight model and air file.
