Default Northwest Orient Airlines 1968 Boeing 707-351B

Flew on this big boy twice out of Atlanta in 1969,a flight i'll always remember,ah the good old days of aviation, the noise and smoke, today nothing.I haven't gone to Pittsburgh Intl. for years, nothing to see anymore.

How a jetliner should be. I count myself fortunate to have had the chance to fly on a 707 despite being of a generation who didn't get a chance to see them much anymore! Great shots Adam.

    David,thank you buddy.

Leo,i was lucky to have ridden on most of the old propliners, and saw the beginning of the jet age.In 1961 i flew to Navy bootcamp from Pittsburgh to Chicago Midway airport on a TWA Connie, and return to Pittsburgh from Chicago O'Hare, which was still under construction on a jet, can't remember what kind, just remember it was Allegheny Airlines. Airports today are boring,i mean i have an airport three miles from my house with 737s and MDs taking off and i never hear them,my lawn mower makes more noise,oh well at least i remember what it was like in the day.

    Thank you much Leo.

Hey, is that an EVA Air 777 in the background on the last shot? :/

Love them old pigs! The antenna at the top of the tailfin makes it special. It makes it
look like a scorpion. It's for the patient ones, you need to plan every move in
advance. Stiill elegant though. It's a nice monster.

Ah... the 707... my neighbor was tanker pilot (KC-135). Got a chance to fly the Singer KC-135 motion simulator, that beast was huge... used three theater screen sized panels!

Beautiful set Adam... love the 707!

Holy flashback, Batman! I was in the U.S. Air Force from the '60s till the '80s and saw a lot of Northwest 707s but I don't recall ever seeing one this clean and beautiful. Beautiful aircraft, Adam. Would you happen to have a screenshot from the cockpit? Would like to see what the panel looked like in those days. Your screenshots exemplify why I love flight simulation so much. Thank you for posting them.
