Thread: Aircraft invisible

  1. Smile Aircraft invisible

Hi, ive tried to get a passenger/wing view by going to the virtual cockpit, and then ''moving the view back'' this has worked great on several airplanes, but most aircraft are invisible.

when i go to Cockpit viewmode or Virtual Cockpit view, and then look back i just see the NAV lights. how can i make my aircraft show in all the views?? something in the .cfg file ?? because my graphic settings are all on high.

    thanks!!!

That approach doesn't work with most "genuine FSX" aircraft.
They have a separate interior model, in which only parts that can be seen from the pilot's POV are modeled.

For example the interior model of the DC-3 includes some parts of the left engine and outer wing. The interior model of the Cessna includes most upper parts of fuselage and tail, and lower parts of wings.
The jetliner's interior models have nothing at all except for the cockpit itself. To make the story short, when starting to "wander around" from within the VC there will always be missing parts.

To have a good wing view, you need to use the camera views (which use the outside model as reference).

All of the above doesn't count for FS9 models, where outside and VC are in one model.
