Hi,
I have a couple of questions concerning landing.
1. When should I press APP when ILS landing?
2. How do you activate reverse thrust?
3. What short airport route helps you land ILS?
Hi,
I have a couple of questions concerning landing.

Reverse thrust by default is F2 on the keyboard. You'll want to arm auto-spoliers as well (<Shift> + </>). To find a nearby airport with ILS, pull up the map view and start zooming in. Any airport on the map view once you zoom in close enough will have a green cone outbound from the runway where an ILS is. Click anywhere in that cone to get your ILS frequency and heading. To activate the ILS you will need to dial NAV1 to the ILS frequency listed at the airport's runway you want to land on and make sure NAV is chosen over GPS on the panel.
You'll also want to dial the VOR/HSI to the runway heading listed on the ILS (a runway number 18 may have a heading to dial to of 184 degrees) and then make sure the "APP" for approach button is hit on the autopilot. The best bet for "capture" of the ILS with autopilot is to be about 30 degrees or less at an angle when nearing the cone and within a couple hundred feet of the high/low ILS descent profile. You should pick up the needle well outside of the cone and the arrow pointer to the right of the VOR/HSItelling you that you are high or low.
