Thread: Ouachita Mountians

    Default Ouachita Mountians

In southeast Oklahoma and southwest Arkansas there is a mountain range called the Ouachita Mountains (pronounced wash-i-taw). These mountains are not very tall (the tallest is around 2,800 feet) but are very heavily forested and rugged with many streams and small lakes. I have spent a lot of time in this area and I was curious how they looked in FSX, so I took a flight from Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Mena, Arkansas and I would have to say the FSX does a decent job of how the really look.

Beautiful and rugged pictures John. Really nice. I like the Cessna Skyhawk's paint scheme - very sharp looking airplane!

I did... Hahaha and I saw that I completely "jumped-the-gun" on my response. I like them all.

hehehe...Used to live in Albion. My mom still does. Did a year of high school in Talihina. FS Dreamscapes did a precision mesh for Oklahoma and it really improved it. "Stay on this road and you'll see three rises. After the third, take your second right down the road with the silver cow catcher... " The rises were actually there. Maybe I should model a cow catcher.... Great pics!
