    Default Brakeoff file warning

I feel like I'm the only FS2000 user on the planet! There is a file called "brakeoff" which replaces the "parking brake" screen message with the much shorter "PB". You simple overwright the ENGLISH.fll in FS2000. This works fine but if I go to 'Options' instead of there being 'Instant Replay' in the sub-menu it says 'Instant Laughs'. Has anyone else come across this?

Greetings - you well may be the only one (or at least part of a very small group) as most everyone else has moved on to more recent versions of FS.

There are several files in the library which modify the ENGLISH.fll file - so you might want to try a different one if that "Instant Laughs" line really is troublesome.

I suspect the person who edited the file just added that in an attempt at a little humor.

In FSX and FS2004 we can do much the same sort of thing by editing the language.dll file which contains the various warning messages such as brakes and overspeed etc..

Hope you find something "less humerous".
