Well, here I am in Holland. Our friend Jan has interceeded on my behalf and secured me a job in the remote tower at Schiphol airport. He assures me the complete absence of other controllers is due to National Cheese Day (or some such). He also taught me some useful Dutch phrases to help me blend in: Veel geluk! (good luck); Het spijt me. (sorry); Waar is het toilet? (where's the bathroom); Deze memeer betaalt alles (this gentleman will pay for everything) and perhaps the most important one; Mijn hovercraft zit vol palingen (my hovercraft is full of eels). Thanks, Jan!
