Is the real world weather down right now? It's because I'm currently getting 0knots wind speeds and >20C temp up above at 38000 feet even though I've checked the download winds aloft option.

The nearest station to your flight might be temporarily down, in which case you get clear skies and no wind. You can check by temporarily shifting your flight somewhere else in the world and see if different weather loads.
