CYYZ Toronto Pearson RWY's 33L and 33R

Hey there, I just had a rather frustrating experience trying to depart YYZ. Normally I have runways 33L/R closed except for when wind's really favour those runway's as YYZ always perfer's the 6's and 5.
During my lengthy wait for departure, I noticed that 33L was used only for landing's (no a/c parked closed to this runway), and 33R used for takeoff's AND landing's, and we all know how much the default ATC suck's at sequencing traffic on approach and take off's for runways being used for both.
I am wondering if there is ANY way to have 33L for landing's ONLY and 33R for departure's ONLY. I have no problem changing things back for normal op's for the 6's and runway 5.

What scenery are you using for YYZ?Is it the default scenery?

In FS there is no Rwy 33L or Rwy 33R at CYYZ.

There is a Rwy 15L with a 33R secondary end, and a Rwy 15R with a 33L secondary end.

Both ends of a runway have to be set the same for closure/ openings to work correctly. If only one end is closed, FS sees that as an error in coding the airport and ignores such changes.

Setting 15L/33R for takeoff only is likely to increase go arounds on 15R/33L because of the 3,200 ft distance without a turnoff taxiway in the middle, but that is better than having 15L/33R basically closed for departures due to constant landings.

If you wish as an addition to space out incoming traffic to reduce take-off queues and go-arounds consider aismv120.zip here in the FSX utility library as ilso works in FS9.

To get AI off of the runways faster you can speed up taxi speeds a notch with fs9cfg16.zip in the AVSIM FS9 utility library. It has many other functions as well.

Thanks guys, I already have the fs9config file to inscrease taxi speed, and I will try this FSX utility!
