Default Saitek x52 Flight controller fails?

It is possible that this flight control just gives out? My system no longer recognizes it and it's totally failed, though the blue lights are still on. I've tried re-installing the software, drivers, etc and nothing. Everything else seems to work fine. Just never heard of a flight control just disappearing and can't be made to re-appear. I've had it for over 3 years but it was perfect last weekend, now gone?

USB device? Unplug and replug the controller, making SURE to use the same USB port, which may also give you a clue as to the problem. The device is both the controller AND the port, so if you even change the USB port the device registers differently.

If it IS just the USB port going into hibernation, you will need to remove `shut this device down to save power` command in the device configuration menu in Control Panel
