Prop will not increase?

I have encountered a problem with FSX when I try to move the prop control forward it comes right back to prop max decrease. Cannot get it to stay in an increased rpm mode? Have any idea of this problem or where I can get help on this?

Which aircraft?

Are you starting from a DEFAULT aircraft then switching?

I fixed this problem by taking the pc out of num lock and caps lock as suggested by Jeff at simsamurai.net. He has a great site and some great products, check it out.
