Thread: St. Maarten-Anguilla Ferry

  1. Default St. Maarten-Anguilla Ferry

I've installed Ingo Schwan's St Maarten-Anguilla AI ferry boats {http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=143953} The boats look nice (one on each shore), but they don't run their routes. In the "AI Ferry Boat" folder is an AI Installer Package. But when I run it I get a message that the air file is not right and the installer can't proceed. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Thanks.

First - any message about a .AIR file not being correct is from the Adobe Air Installer and has no connection to or impact upon FS. Adobe Systems uses the .AIR extension to designate installers for programs. If you get that type message ignore it.

The package does not include any 'installer' it is simply a group of .BGL files - some scenery, some AI routes, which go in an active scenery folder. And the 'aircraft' / ferryboats.

The traffic files and the AFCAD are set from a long taxi from a parking spot near the opposite island to the 'runway' near the terminal on the other island. I'm not impressed by the traffic files. They are coded for a 1 hour repeat cycle, but times are set for a 2 hour cycle.
