Thread: 2 monitors 1xHDMi 2nd on DVI problem with bios appearing on DVI screen only

  1. Default 2 monitors 1xHDMi 2nd on DVI problem with bios appearing on DVI screen only

Until windows starts my bios loads on my second monitor not my primary. THis is frustrating. My primary is HDMI and second is VGA TO DVI adapter to my video card. Is there a reason this happens? Is the problem in windows 7 or my bios, or even further a limitation with my video card, specifically the reason im using HDMI?

    ANy troubleshooting ideas thanks!

It is not a problem per se, the BIOS uses the first GPU it sees registered on the bus.
Until the OS is loaded and Windows configures the display, that is what you will get.
I don't know if the GPU is selectable in BIOS...Don
