Is there anyone in the freeware or payware world who is desinging a cessna citation X for fs2002. the last 1 was from abacus and it has become outdated. i hate to see such a great aircraft go unrecognized in the simulation world.

I have brought this idea of a BizJet up to Lou and he has eluded to the fact the market may not be big enough for DF to make it profitable as the demand may not be their, as with all DF products I know that if DF builds it we will buy it.
Could you imagine the outcome with Lou's digicam??? simply beautiful!!!!

LAST EDITED ON Jun-18-02 AT 11:26PM (EDT)[p]This is one of those times I just have to DISAGREE with the "Lou-meister". :-lol Other than the Falcon, I don't really know of any great quality bizjet packages for FS2002. Of course, FFG just released the Lear, as far as I know, it is simply a model/FDE package.
Anyway, I sure would like to see a bizjet from DF, not because I'm such a big fan of bizjets, but simply to see where they would take it. :-)

AMEN Brother Jeff AMEN
i'd love to see a dreamfleet bizjet, too.
it would be a definite buy for me.. especially if it were a citation or a gulfstream... that'd be pretty cool

Trust me, the Citation X (for FS2002) has not been forgotten!
Press release from Cessna confirms the manufacturer is breathing new life into the X for real world also:
For 2002, Cessna has announced major improvements to the Citation X business jet. The enhancements will incorporate an increase in gross weight and engine thrust as well as an expanded standard equipment list. The aircraft's maximum takeoff weight will be increased by 400 lb, bringing it to 36,100 lb. The gross weight change enables an increase in passenger capacity. Operators will be able to carry up to seven passengers with a full fuel payload.
The enhanced aircraft will feature a 5% increase in engine thrust with the incorporation of an uprated version of the Rolls-Royce AE3007C turbofan, the AE3007C1. By increasing takeoff thrust on the aircraft from 6442 lb of thrust per side to 6764 lb, operators will be able to take advantage of shorter takeoff field lengths. The aircraft's range and 0.92 Mach
cruise speed will remain virtually unchanged.
New standard equipment offered on the 2002 aircraft includes Honeywell's traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS II) and enhanced ground proximity warning system, a Litton locator beacon, a Teledyne angle-of-attack indicator/indexer, SATCOM provisions, a cockpit voice recorder, VHF AFIS, and provisions for a flight data recorder and second high frequency transceiver.
The changes to the Citation X are effective on all aircraft delivered after Jan 1, 2002, beginning with serial number 173.
The X.....my all time favorite bizjet:

I suggested to Lou doing a bizjet in the new Rayathon Premier in real life that plane is a all composite airframe and is very nice, I got to sit in one for a hour a few weeks back.

Hey thats a nice model. Is that the one from Corporate Pilot? Or is it available somewhere?
I've been serioously considering one...I really like bizjets, and I like to model them when I need to get away for the airliners...:-)

FLIGHTFX POLICY1.) We design for reality, not for idealism.
Thus, you will not see virtual cabins on our aircraft. You can not see inside the real thing anyway, unless you are looking into the sun. You will find virtual cockpits but they will not be visible from outside for the same reason.
2.) We design for people with real computers. Thusly, we will not waste polygons on superfluous parts. We will use a texture when there is no noticeable difference between it and a group of performance wasting parts. We will model our aircraft efficiently. If you do not like it, too bad.
3.) We will give you the latest features, but we WILL NOT sacrifice visual accuracy to implement them. Accuracy comes before eye candy.
