    Default Speed Indicator when flying through turb

    Is this supposed to happen?

    When flying through moderate/severe turbulance, the airspeed indicator fails. just dies. so i have no airspped when i come out of the turb. even happens on the default aircraft...

    suggestions?

    Well, I suppose the differences in air pressure would cause a fluctuation on the IAS gauge, but complete failure - even when comming out ? Is there any other weather conditions associated with the turbulence ? Maybe going through some freezing precipitation is blocking the pitot tube ( pitot heat would fix this )
    That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

    You could be experiencing something else. - Pitot tube freeze. Turn on the Pitot heat switch and wait a few seconds and see if the airspeed gauge comes back online.
