Oh, and also the guys who made the T-Shirts that say "Medium Pimpin", "Anna Nicole ate my Brother", "Bin Laden is a big fat doodiehead", "Venus has a Penis" (Think about that one) and lastly (of almost 30 favs) "Sometimes I pee when I laugh".

What about the Duvalier family "Papa Doc" and his son "Baby Doc" for services rendered to Haiti "Dad dead but son in retirement in South of France. Also in the “Voodoo” hall of fame.

Idi Amin for his services to the “move to Britain Asian migration scheme" and the central African overpopulation problem.
Idi now a guest of the Saudi government (He is a good Muslim)

Emperor Bokasa also contributed to the overpopulation problem in Africa, now retired to his chateau on the Cote d'azure.

Adolf Hitler for his contribution to Wall St. and Hollywood. Widely believed to be working as a manservant to the Goldberg family of Brazil.

Josef Stalin for his reduction of unemployment in the Soviet Union by some 52 Million now believed to be arguing with God about his existence and fighting his extradition to hell.

Chairman Mao for his contribution to the sandal industry of China 700 million pair used during the long march and his contribution to the Chinese fashion industry.

Pol Pot for his reduction of the costs in the Cambodian education system by 100%, medical costs by 100%, tourism by 100% and all the new uses found for pick handles and baseball bats.

Charles De Gaulle for his influence in the massive increase in the use of facial cosmetic surgery in the 60's and 70's and the removal of some ugly atolls in the South Pacific.

President Carter for helping Americans in Iran to have a longer holiday than first planned and his help in the growth of the American home brewing industry.

Saddam Hussein for his huge popularity in the Democratic Republic of Iraq and for cleaning up the messy north of Iraq. (This happened ad the result of a misunderstanding when he asked a senior General to flush the toilet who thought he said "Get rid of my Kurds").

Ronald Regan for bringing humor to the White House for the first time living memory. He once introduced our Australian Prime Minister as "The Right Honorable Robert Hawke the President of Austria"

Winston Churchill for his vast contribution to the British alcohol and Cuban cigar industries.

Prince Rainer of "Mecano" for producing the only more vile royal children than the Queen of England and the present "most favored banks status" to the Russian Mafia.

John Edgar Hoover for his contribution to the "ladies" or should that be "laddies" lingerie industry.

Fidel Castro gets the "Giorgio Armani" Cuban snappiest dresser of the year award for the 31'st time a new record. Also this year received "The chest X-ray machine manufactures award" making it 15 in a row.

Prince Faisal the 92nd of Saudi Arabia for reducing the incidence of workplace injuries of Saudi nationals by 90% by increasing the import of foreign workers by 90%. Also received the award for donation to suspect charities one being the well known Charity "Old Saudis Annual Medical Award or OSAMA"

Colonel Gaddaffi for his contribution to in flight entertainment on some major airlines. Also for his kindness to the U.S. by letting their Air Force and Navy use Libya for bombing practice.

Our own Prime Minister John Howard, for his ability to disguise himself as George W's toilet paper on a regular basis.

In terms of outright power, I'd say Hitler.

Don't get me wrong, the man was evil.
But considering he was originally elected to power, it was scary what he was able to do with his weapons of persuasion and propaganda. Millions of Germans willingly marched to his demented cause and fought a bloody war.

Under his direction, Jet engines were put on the front lines, massive weapons such as giant cannons were built, rockets with sophisticated Gyro-based guidance systems were developed.

All of which we accept today as normal technology.
His accomplishments were only outweighed by his evil intentions.

A lesson not to be forgotten.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-18-02 AT 01:16AM (EST)[p]Why you posed the type of question you did in the thread about the attempted hijacking....

Makes you kinda go, hmmmmmm......

Pray tell, besides being scared snotless of his impending doom, and therefore spending resources on the jet engine that could have been better spent on his people (had he been a true leader) what else did this great "leader" do? Oh I see, I re-read your post. Lets see "massive weapons such as giant cannons were built, rockets with sophisticated Gyro-based guidance systems were developed." Your correct, I apologize. The world is much better off with Uncle Adolfs gifts. It is such a shame that his "reign" did not last longer. Puke Puke Puke. Why we may even have a death ray by now. And that pesky Jewish-Palestinian problem would never have happened.

Oh, and for your information Uncle Adolf or not, the things that you mentioned would have been developed. Invention is part of the human spirit, when it doesn't have it head crammed up its bung-hole.

Leader def. one how leads or guides. Do you see the difference between leader and dictator? Not force at the end of a gun or with SS goons or with the threat of a nice warm gas shower.

In the military there are many commanders, some of whom are good or great leaders.

Once again,

AAL109,

Without revealing my political positions, it would be very difficult to become a dictator without having first been a strong leader at some level ... And when one becomes a dictator, many of those leadership qualities remain, though they may get corrupted over time.

That high-tech German effort didn't just happen, like snow, or a good crop year, and I got the impression that this is the point RC_ (hi, RC_) was trying to make.

If that is indeed RC_'s point, it would be possible for his assertion to be true without him being a sick anti-Semite.

The Germans made a mistake ignoring "Jewish science". You should try to avoid repeating the same kind of mistake which would be ignoring "anti-Semite science".

Mike
(RC_, you know what I mean)
(I just hope somebody doesn't jump in and say "mikey's anti-Semite")
(because it wouldn't be true ... because mikey IS a Semite)
(which is NOT the same thing as being a Zionist)
(though I may in fact BE a Zionist)
(or I might not be)
(the one has nothing to do with the other)
McCarthy
