Thread: Ultimate Traffic 2 problem

  1. Default Ultimate Traffic 2 problem

Hi everyone! I have a problem with UT2. I have the latest service pack and I set the traffic to 100%. when I load the flight, not every gate is filled. Airports like YSSY or PHNL seem almost empty. Is this normal for UT2? Any help is much appreciated!

How full or empty any given airport might be will depend to some degree upon the day of the week and the time of day. Early morning and late afternoon are usually the busiest times at any airport.

The traffic slider set at 100% has nothing to do with assuring every gate will be filled. Traffic files have indivual flight plans which will called into use depending upon what percentage is specified in the flight plan.

As an example, if the flightplan calls for 80%, then that plan would not be active if the slider was set for only 75%. Likewise if you have yours set at 100%, then all plans in the Traffic file should be active. Keep in mind that the airports being used must have sufficient parking spaces available which are large enough (the correct radius) for aircraft visiting that airport.

Try visiting the airports in question on different days and at differing times and give the sim some time to generate the proper AI traffic. It may take as much as 30 minutes for things to get really active.

I believe it is safe to say that the above is "normal" for virtually all Traffic programs.

I do not speak much English and I hope you understand
Ultimate Traffic program automatically loads the AFCAD files, in the case and the folder FS9 Addon Scenery / scenery, and appear F2UT_YSSY or F2UT_PHNL. These files can be modified with the AFCAD program or save them to a temporary folder and download the updated files here in Flight Simulator

Ultimate Traffic 2 does not load any addon AFCAD files. The program AFCAD cannot open FSX airports.

Besides, AFCAD is old and was never finished. A better program for FSX and FS2004 is ADE - Airport Design Editor

I believe UT2 has a feature that will automatically reduce traffic if frame rates become low or unstable - could this be occuring?

I have pretty good frames, about 20fps at heathrow, which by the way is pretty empty. Also, When I load up an airport I set the simulation rate to x4 to get things moving but it seems that more planes take off than land

UT2 loads flight plans according to the real world schedules, and as I recall, loads planes about 20 minutes before departure. Time of day and airline schedules determine the amount of planes at any given time. Most major (if not all) have arrivals and departures websites, check them to see if things are accurate. UT also just posted a 'winter' updated schedule if you are interested.
