I would want to do the opposite. I've never seen the River Thames look blue, mucky green is more realistic, but most of the time it looks more grey/brown.

I've been tempted to seek out the water and river textures in all versions of flightsim I've had, to edit them to make them more realistic to UK waters which rarely look anything near blue.

You can use TMFViewer from Terrain SDK and see what values are used for the water in the region you want to change.

Part of the river nearest the ocean is Value: 9 Ocean Inlets: Brown and closer to downtown London it is Value: 8 Deep Inland Water - Brown.

You can then look for a texture replacement to change those colors.

Alternately, you could use a program such as SBuilderX to change the textures/ waterclass used for that area.

NOTE - If you have installed something like UTX, ORBX, FSScene, etc - the original textures may have already been changed.

horizon scenery files are one reason to go dx 10 preview - if flying anywhere near water

in dx 9 horizon scenery (including the London) coast and river edges tend to look like they have a green - yellow scum floating at the borders. Dx 10 looks much better
