Thread: Posky Erj 135

    Default Posky Erj 135

I know some of this was covered back in August but...

I just downloaded the Erj-135 from the "new" Posky site.

The autopilot is not at all functional. I installed some of the updates available for the 135 but nothing. Judging by the virtual cockpit textures, I'm guessing it was an FS9 carry over and there are issues.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

If not, any ideas on how to merge the Feel There panel?

    Thanks.

    Sierra.

Unless the model file begins with osX it is not an FSX model and the cockpit more than likely can't be merged. There are a lot of threads explaining the FS9-FSX fixes.
It may be possible to replace the autopilot with one of the default APs. We would need the exact file description and name at FSPro to be of more help...Don

Although I haven't installed or flown this, I understand that there is a very nice Posky ERJ135 & ERJ145 model with V/C here:

    Good luck with your quest!

Carry over ? Not even that, it's FS9. Period.

    POSKY never supported FSX.

    Thanks TCB.

It is in fact an FS9 model. (ErJ-135 Posky) The autopilot in the 2d panel works fine. In the VC, not so much. The plane behaves well enough and looks good in FSX. I have read that it is possible to swap VC's if you swap the air file as well. Looking at doing that with the Feelthere. Why not just fly the Feelthere 135 then right? Well the paint kit is really difficult to paint and nobody seems to want to take on the job.

I would really like to learn how to edit air files. Is that possible without programming knowledge? Everything else in the aircraft either modular or text so it is easily modified. Air files seem to be more complex. Any advice?

    Thanks.

I've done many merges and haven't yet encountered one that had anything at all to do with the .air file.
There is no "Record" in the .air for textures or model mapping that would help with a VC merge.
IMO changing the .air is only good for fixing Flight Dynamics that aren't in the aircraft.cfg.

Here is a thread that has a basic description of the steps necessary to merge an FSX plane with an FSX VC. All you can do is try.
I've tried with many FS9 planes and they usually just disappear. Good Luck...Don
