Default Conflict installing WOAI and Air India Group Flight Plans

Probably been asked before but I could not find anything in Search previous posts. I know someone must have asked. Would I create conflict in my numerous WOAI airline flight plans if I now add Air India Group Airlines to the mix. Not the same but those airlines that are not available in WOAI????? I guess my question is do they mix or conflict?
    Thanks in advance

i think you mean alpha india.. if so they both work fine for me. though u need to remember that WOAI fligh tplans are in FS9 format. therefore when your compiling the AIG plans you would have to make them for fs9 or u would have to convert all the WOAI plans to fsx format(that is if you make the AIG ones into fsx format)

To avoid confusion - FSX can use Traffic files (flightplans) which are in either FS2004 format or FSX format - BUT not at the same time.

If FSX finds even one Traffic file in FS2004 format, it will block the display of FSX format aircraft Traffic files.

So the best option to to have all Traffic files in FSX format.

Many of us use the conversion utility - found on the file menu - in Don Grovestine's excellent AI Flight Planner utility. You can get the latest version here:

Thank you for the reply's. Yes I did mean to say Alpha India, mind fart, sorry. I'm aware of the required formats for FSX. WOAI installer takes care of that by selecting FS9 or FSX. I assume, not having used the Alpha India installer, the same process is available. My concern was that the the two formats would clash and cause a problem. Opa, I will take a look at the conversion program you suggested.
    Thanks,

The WoA Installer does not convert flightplans to FSX format. It only places them in the location to work in FSX.

Alpha India Group does not have an installer. You will have to find and load the aircraft and repaints, then compile the flight plans into traffic files. It sounds like a big job, but even someone as old and befuddled as me can do it - so certainly you can.

Just remember that Flight Sim is a computer program, very literal in what it does. Things have to be in the right place, and have to be done correctly.

Speaking of WOAI .. I am getting frustrated to no end with trying to get WOAI packages to work . I've downloaded AIFP , converted some packages to FSX format , but must be putting the converted files in the wrong place . I thought it was the world/scenery folder . I would really like to keep the default aircraft if I can .

    Thanks Reggie,
I will give it a try as you suggested. Might be back if I need help.

Just a question but why are you not using the WOAI installation tool. Works like a charm. I have 15 European Airlines installed no problem except exceptions when the same Aircraft repaint is used, which is an easy fix. Appears that Alpha India Group AI may be a little more complicated to install. That was the reason for my question in the first place, I could not find a similar easy install method. As I said previously I will give the AIFP a try with Alpha India Group plans or continue to enjoy WOAI............
