Happy hunting partner, just saying it would save a lot of headache in the long run! Its not that hard to unistall and reinstall everything again. As large a library that I have (not that large compared to the real simmers)! I just reinstall the environment (Land, sea, air) and reinstall all the airports in one general region every other day! Then I just reinstall my Favorite aircrafts first before I just reinstall everything. Its a process! Well worth it to never see blurries again....ever! But like I said that is just me, if its broke you can try to fix it. But when that crazy glue bottle is almost empty its just time to get a new one! But by all means continue to do what you are doing!
