Hey. Please, dont bite me, I have already postet this thread in another forum. But also here, to receive more feedback.

I am an 21y old graphic artist from germany (sorry for my awful english skills...) and I try to design a airport simulator game. The reason why I open this topic is, because my buddy that will code the game has some...objections. He suggest me to ask the target audience - what they are think of this game (so, also here!). He don't think the game would be a success, so the coding-progress is a little bit slow.

Some introduction: The player looks from above at an airport. These airports will be in real-metric proportions and designed in a high detail. The player must coordinate the traffic on the ground. He is responsible for departures, arrivals, taxis and some basic gate or apron operations. The controls are pretty simple: fully Mousecontrol. The player can klick each airplane and give it the appropriate actions. We'll try to reproduce the real world procedures as well as it is possible.

There are some kind of different level complexity. The player can choose between a day-of-a-controller with realistic time (it is possible to accelerate the time flow in non-rush-hour-situations) and some sandbox mode with editable bunches of traffic volume.

At least some technically information: The game is based on 3D Models which I do by myself. But the game doesnt have some Real-Time-Rendering. All the stuff will doing by sprites and some layered effects (lighting effects, shadows, etc.). We are no insame-game-foundation, just for remember.

I hope I havent forget some details. In case of that, feel free to ask me. Here are some additional concepts. All this stuff is currently under construction. So, some pictures at last. All is designed and modelled by myself, I don't steal


So, what do you think about this? Does the game have a future? If its done and perfect and absolute asskick, what you like to buy it? I would be glad if you can gave me some feedback, so I can convince my coder to spend really a lot of time in this game to develop it. Maybe you think the idea is bad, there is no space for such games. Whatever you think, please let me know
