    Default ifly 737 help

    Hi Folks,

Just got this add- on. It is amazing. i am having a hard time engaging the auto-pilot. For some reason, the light indicating that the CMD button is on does not go on. Also, it does not hold an altitude ot heading. Auto throttle seems to work fine. The autopilot is on because when I have the lnav and vnav on, the vnav function works but not well. The plane pitches up significantly leading to a stall. I know I am doing something wrong. Just do not know why. The tutorials on youtube do not help much (although they are excellent) and the manual is way too technical for my understanding!

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Eran

iFly has a dedicated forum in the Flight1 forums - you will need to register and you will get help. Their support is excellent.

Is your aircraft properly trimmed and climbing straight? You can apply no pressure whatsoever on the yoke before the autopilot will engage.
    Smooth Skies!

Go to the iFly Support Fourm. They have great support:

Make sure you are a licensed member first. There are instructions on how to do that on their forum as well. Good luck!

    Hello,

    They have great support
    Ice = Pitot tube freezing
    Brakes don't work correctly
Rudder and flaps can suddenly act randomly
Random disconnection of AP and trow the route planned
    Thrust problems

Great support will be a patch (not useless interim fixes who are fixing nothing)
So far a real patch correct all those very annoying deffects this plane is like the (defunct ??) Airsimmer A320 ... a beta payware ..

    Not everyday I rant ... thank's god

    Regards.

If you gave a couple of monkeys a box of ballpoints, enough paper, and enough time, they'd eventually finish up writing the complete works of Shakespeare

I'm sorry you are having so many problems. Myself and many others are problem free. None of these problems you've listed I have experienced and they don't sound familiar as problems listed by other users. Maybe you can head over to the Support Forum to get support on these issues. I don't believe this thread was to point out the problems with the aircraft though...

I have had the software package since the first week that it was released by ifly and I have seen none of the problems listed in your post. I have had one problem in about 20 flights and I am certain that it was a OE issue. I have never been able to duplicate the problem.

It is a great piece of software. I hope that you posted your issues on their web site, they take pride in the quick responses to their customers.

Never switch on Flight Director(FD) before u have engaged Autopilot(AP)... this an arbitrary solution( not a procedure) is for fixing this bug .Switch on FD after you have engaged the AP.

If you come on over to the iFly forums I will show you how what you seeing is actually real fucntionality of the aircraft and how to fly and control the aircraft. Please ingnore advice about not switch on the FD as there is no bug but actually modelled on the 737NG system

    See you there
