All I can do is commiserate, pardner. I've had the same exact problem, but haven't found a cure yet.

Okay, I admit it, even I got tired of my sig file.

It's a texture resources issue: Either turn down a slider or two or watch and wait - it should clear itself once the buffer clears.

Like Simon said, it's more an software/drivers related than the bmp, I think the problem is can happend when you are tweaking some stuff on your video card. It may happens when the clouds are at low alitude interact with the 3d object at the ground. Also you can use zoom -/+ sometime the white box will appears and desappears. All FSW clouds have no bugs and same performance as fs2k2.

Microsoft Default Fs2002 Clouds same problems.

    Fs 2002 anomalies :

SomeTime you will see some White Box
Up side down black grey clouds effect from distance
Random stretch clouds by the engine (some random clouds appears flat from the original clouds created)
    Horizon visibility
Cutting high level clouds at the edge

    Thanks

But in my case I know exactly what caused it. I'd just installed a little program which generates various cloud effects, groovy thunderstorms, etc. Can't recall its name, but it came off the cover disc of the last issue of PC Pilot.

    One edit later...

Just realised that the program must have been FSW.

    Good work guys, neat program.

Hey thats a cool logo. whats the reg# on that plane? same as this one? (N501DA. On the cloud problem, I have seen the same thing in FS. Sometimes it is just there and sometimes it flikkers. Change the zoom, or move the eyepoint around. If it doesnt work, just keep on flying past it. You should get far enough so that you cant see it anymore.
