Thread: Windows / Panels / Camera settings

  1. Angry Windows / Panels / Camera settings

    Hey,

i've got some real problems with FSX -_- me and my Brother are using FSX with Acc. Addon and we can't enjoy our flights because of the following reasons:

I like to fly in Outside View and because I need some instruments. I have to place them somewhere in my window .... EVERY TIME AGAIN AND AGAIN when I start the game or when the plane crashes -_- isn't there any way to save the window position? Same with the Camera position ... I have to adjust the camera the way I like it every single time i start flying and after each crash too. Thats really annoying.

Does anyone of u has some tips for me how to save the Camera settings and the panels / windows, so I just can start the Simulator and beginn flying? Or do I always have to place these stuff new?

    Thanks in advance

When you re-start FSX, some things (view/camera-wise) come from the saved flight and some come from the default flight.

FSUIPC (even the unregistered version) saves the current flight as "Previous Flight.FLT". I make this my default flight also.
When I close my flight with an UNDOCKED GPS on screen 2, that is exactly where it is when I restart the flight. Whether it would also be there if I created a new flight, I don't know, but you can certainly experiment with this approach.

Obviously, different aircraft have some different views so this might not work for all reloads, but see if it helps...

Thanks, I think that could fix my problems.

Can u tell me exactly (step by step) how i work with that FSUIPC (already got it installed now) and when I have to save what?

And when I start a Multiplayer game then, how do i get my view settings?

    thanks

    1. FSUIPC, when installed, creates an entry in the dll.xml. If you see it in the menu bar under addons, then it is installed correctly. There is nothing accessible in the unregistered version to enable the flight saving feature - mine just does it automatically. After flying and ending the first flight with FSUIPC installed, you should have a "previous flight.flt" in with the rest of the saved flights. I just scroll to it in the load flight/save flight in-game menu and tick the "make this the default flight" checkbox. The default flight is documented (defined) in the fsx.cfg so you could also manually edit it there.

On the MP aspects, I'm just getting back into that now so I'm not sure... but there is a place during the MP startup that allows you to load a flight - if necessary, go to this location BEFORE the MP session and save a flight there (or save the default flight there with everything preset) and see if it starts the MP session like you want.

If this doesn't work, I'm not sure what to tell you...
