Thread: Add GPS to Aeroworx Beechcraft B200 King Air

  1. Smile Add GPS to Aeroworx Beechcraft B200 King Air

Hi to all Aeroworx Beechcraft B200 King Air fans -

Sorry if this thread has been asked and answered. I've been off-line awhile.

I'd like to add, if possible, the Microsoft default GPS gauge to the Aeroworx Beechcraft B200 King Air panel. The Aeroworx default GPS gauge isn't as "situationally aware" of local surroundings. Otherwise, the plane is astounding!

I believe someone has repainted the Aeroworx B200 and somehow added the GPS to the repaint, but it's not obvious to me how the GPS was added.

I looked into the Aeroworx panel.cfg files and they're simply intimidating to me.

Has anyone done this? If so, is it any easy job or should I "forget it"?

    Regards...

FS2004 Super King Air B200 GPS; default GPS pop-up. Want the default GPS? This gives you that pop-up for the Aeroworx Super King Air 200 from FlightOne. Mods by Jimmy R. Martin.
Unzip this to an empty folder and then slide the new panel files into your Aeroworx Super KA folder. Your aircraft will display the KA GPS but it will not be working. Hit the "shift + 9" keys and you will have the fully functioning FS9
default GPS as a popup window. This works mainly with the EFIS panel.

I spent quite a bit of time on this issue myself. I wanted GPS functioning "in-panel" in the 2d and vc, as well as a drop down; and you're right the multiple panel files in the Aeroworx King Air can be a bit intimidating.

I started out installing the default GPS in place of the WXR. After many differerent versions I finally found the Friendly Panels - GPS Pack. (Its available here in the fs pilot shop at a very reasonable price. I use it on just about all of my aircraft now)

I now have the GNS 430 mounted in panel and functioning in place of the KLN90b and the GNS 530 in place of the WXR. I like the combination very much and as far as I can tell the functions in both the EFIS and analogue cockpits all work fine. I mostly fly in the analogue cockpit.

I would be happy to share the files with you or anyone else interested, although I have never shared files before and don't really know quite how to go about that. I don't think there are any copyright or other legal problems but I'm really not sure.

Alternatively I would also be happy to offer any guidance through the process if you would like.

Good Luck with however you decide to proceed!!

    Hello,

    For this I can help

Gather your file(s) in a Zip or a RAR archive.
After you want to go there:

    http://www.multiupload.com

You upload your archive (will be available on multiple public hosts)
At end of upload .. you will have a download link.
Copy and send this link to your buddy (mail or personal message)
At receipt he will have the choice of hosts where download.
    That's it

    Regards.
