Thread: Concorde X freezing

    Default Concorde X freezing

I have just installed Concorde X (boxed issue) and apparently without issue. The problem is that when I attempt to start a flight when fsx has finished loading it freezes after a while and I cannot do anything to get it to work. The message bar comes on the screen thanking me for purchasing concorde x and says it is installing concorde x and that the sim may freeze momentarily but this is followed by a permanent freeze.

Also I am not sure if it is related but before I even click 'fly now' when I open up the concorde x performance calculator the FSX Status at the bottom says 'disconnected' and I cannot select anything on the pull down menus.

I have tried re-installing without success so would anyone know what I may have done wrong.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Have you submitted your issue to the manufacture of the product?? You should start there. If all else fails, try reading the instructions word for word just to make sure you aren't doing something wrong!

When status says 'disconnected' it indicates that Conc X wants to 'call home'. Payware will need to access the internet (Conc X site) for updates, registration options, exchange of info (ie: performance calculator). So, keep your internet connection going while FSX is active to see if that is the problem.

For the performance calculator to work you must be in the CX on the runway.

As far as freezing, try the alt+tab to see if there is a message box underneath fsx. Sometimes you might need to approve an outgoing message in your antivirus program.

OR you might have to accept the gauges.
