And this gives you no clue that perhaps it might be an idea to supply full hardware specifications to us - and PMDG..?

    2. The lightmap textures for the landing and logo lights are a bright blue and are VERY blocky.
    3. The VC night lights textures are blue just like the landing and logo lights!

Can ANYBODY help? I searched all over the place on the PMDG website and found nothing. PLEASE Help!
The PMDG 747-400X doesn't "require" FSX SP2, per the Precision Manuals website for this aircraft. FSX SP1 (or later) is recommended for best performance.

There is a patch (here, Service Update V2.1) out that among other things re-installs a 2008 C++ Redistributable version specifically required by this aircraft (see the readme). This may solve your trouble with textures not rendering properly.

You probably will need to lower your FSX graphical settings also for this aircraft to run acceptably if your system doesn't have a FSX/SP2 (or Acceleration/Gold) compatible Video Card. While the PMDG 747 is an excellent aftermarket aircraft for FSX, that excellence comes with an increased computer system overhead requirement that your system may not be ideal for.

you do not install sp2 over acceleration, thats prob your issue. acceleration installs sp2.

what graphics card do you have? does it even support shaders? run windows update see if it has any downloads for you.

    Right now I am running
Windows XP Profession Version 2002 SP3
    Computer:
    Genuine Intel(R) CPU
    T2300 @ 1.66GHz
    1.66GHz, 0.99GB of RAM
    Physical Address Extension

    Flight Simulator X/10
    Service Pack 1

And Progone, I didn't do that. It happens EITHER with SP2 OR Acceleration

No chance on acceptable performance with FSX and PMDG on that rig. And we still have no idea what the video adapter is... but with those lowly specs I'd be surprised if the card is up to the job. Probably some on-board adapter.
That would explain the error message

Try turning off the "Advanced Animations" checkmark in FSX settings...

This setting controls whether or not FSX will try to use certain shader features. If it's turned on, your computer might not be able to handle it properly and you might be getting these hiccups as a result. You WILL lose certain features, such as (ta daa!) wing flexing and other little details, but that would be better than not running properly at all.

It also may be that the 747X requires the use of these "Advanced Animation" features - for this you might be better served on the PMDG support forums.

    Good luck,
    -Greg

Any reason why you wouldnt contact pmdg support or post this on the 400/400x support forums?
If you didnt pirate it, they generally bend over backwards to try and get you fixed.

Look, I came here first and I expect to at least get a suggestion of what to do; not get comments on my system or ask why i didn't go to PMDG first! Please just help me!

    Option 1.
Turn your graphical settings down all the way to the left. All of them.

    Option 2.
Use Flight Simulator 2004 A Century of Flight (FS9).
