If I remember correctly, Abacus had/has a payware program which displays airport and landmark info when you pass nearby. You might check their website.
Use you ALT key to display the Menu bar at the top of your screen - when you are in Full Screen mode. Use Alt + Enter to toggle between Full Screen and Windowed modes.

I think you are looking for Autotower. That gives the names of airports you are passing and the tower view from there.
I had that very program for FSX but never did see one for FS9. If you find it, please let us know! Actually, it was simply a few program entries into the config system for FSX.
Auto Tower just lets you view your landing from the airport you are approaching, I think what NightJar is looking for ( as well as myself ) is the program that allows you see airports being labeled from the air as you pass over them. BTW if you like using AutoTower, you might also want to try using GETTOWER which is free and avaialbe on the files section. IMO it has much more versatility.
Hello,
BTW FSrecorder offer the same as Auto Tower and Gettower (with more flexibility and options of views) and much more ....

If you gave a couple of monkeys a box of ballpoints, enough paper, and enough time, they'd eventually finish up writing the complete works of Shakespeare
ABACUS EZ-Landmark. Fantastic program and I use it constantly to find my way around.
