Cool Default FS2004 Bell 206B as AI Traffic

I have tried different solutions to make the default Bell 206B Jet Ranger fly as AI Traffic in FS2004, but there's no way to make it take off.

I installed the AI Heli by Holger Sandmann, sobstitute the AIR file with the Stemme ones, updated the CFG file, but there's no way to make the 206 fly.

I then noticed that the configuration files by Holger Sandmann are for the FS2002 default Bell 206.

Any idea of how to make that chopper take off?

I believe you will find that in addition to using the replacement .air file, you will need to replace selected portions of the aircraft.cfg files also in opder to get the Bell flying as AI. Unfortunately I do not know exactly which portions need to be replaced.

A possibly better alternative is the payware program called Heli Traffic 2009 from Flight1.

Take a look at the demo video on the page which will display.

Not only do the choppers take off and land vertically but it automatically will allow any chopper you have installed to work as AI - with no tweaks on your part. It does not come with choppers but uses what you may have installed.

Additionally you can easily place chooper pads anywhere - on ships, roof tops and so on and/or use the default chopper pads which you see at many default airports.

The addon does not use the default AI engine to control the choppers but runs independently of it.

It was well worth the modest price for me.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you... I'll give it a look.
