Hi all.
Some time ago I modified some AFCAD files that came with some Aircraft Carriers, so to be suitable for AI Traffic, expecially helicopters. They all work fine.
I tried to do the same for three Oil Rigs in the Persian Gulf, but this time I had to create the "airport" from scratch.
I already did the same thing to create "helipads" in international airports, so to have a kind of helipad dedicated to helicopters only. They work fine as well, but thay are on-land.
The oil rigs platforms are giving me some problems: after all the "airport" creation, keeping the slewing aircraft at the correct height on the platform, measuring the altitude of the oil pad and put the settings in the AFCAD... my helicopters traffic lands in the correct location, but on sea level.
I can't find the way to let the airport be at 119ft instead of 0, even if in the AF2_*.bgl file the elevetion is correctly set.
PS: the platform pad is landable/hard surfaced. The oil rig is FS2004 default.
Any idea?
