A 'real' pilot and you can't get a knife edge in Sim? No way! (Just kidding). In Sim there is the 'auto co-ordination', or 'auto rudder' that you have to contend with when you want to do aerobatics, or a knive edge (one you can 'hold' forever). I fly a Pitts 2B and it 'rocks'. Want to try my FDE's? Here is a link to the cfg and air file at MediaFire hosting site. Might not be as good? Find out. MediaFire, 'pitts_s2b_fde.zip', May12, 2010. New FDEs for Pitts S-2b for FSX (and FS9). Link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?gyinim1wom2 . Have fun. Oh, the a/c is 'TF-TOY' Pitts S-2b version 1.0, paint by David Skulason and the model is by Yasuhiro Ishii ('..this plane works for Flight Simulator 2004'). (Works 'ok' in FSX, too-cb). The sound I use is sound for North American T-6F Texan USAF, by Presley (06Feb13) and is deep and robust.
That feature (auto rudder) works well with 747's, but not with GA or aerobatic a/c. Un-Check that and NOW try it. Should work. If not, then it will the interaction still being there due air file entry (which is set for C172/747's) of 'rudder_effect_on_roll' (section 1101, FlightDynamics). It's probably set to '=-218' or '=-410' or simular. Change it to '=4200' (yes positive value) and that should do it. (If not, then try my N&I FREE FDE's? (I don't need 'pay' or 'recognition' as I know they work good- which is reward enough for me). Cheers.
