Hi! I hope someone can help me with a problem.
In FSX when I fly the (default) 747, something is wrong with the wings.
As you see in the attachment, something is 'sticking out' off the wings.
Does anyone know how to fix that???
Thanks![]()

Do you have Advanced Animations turned on under display settings on FSX? If not, then that might be the problem.
to clarify tyler's post, you need to have Advanced Animations ON in the FSX options
BUT
you also need a graphics card that has Shader 2.0 or higher capability in order to display those animations
please post your system specs so we may identify if its your graphics card that is causing the problem
FSX Acceleration ASUS G60VX, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit, Intel Core 2 Duo @2.13 Ghz, 4GB RAM, nVIDIA GTX260M 1 GB, 500 GB HD
my system has an Intel(R) GMA X3500 chiptype
and when I search the internet it appears to have a higher cap then Shader 2.0.
So...
And my processor is an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs).
It's all from the Intel(R) G35 Express Chipset Family.

check your videocard drivers, make sure theyre updated to the latest
i had the same with my old laptop and updating the drivers did the trick

I've updated my drivers, but the wings still aren't fixed...
Do you have the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator installed on your computer or If you have a driver a disk then unistall and reinstall the original drivers also this happened to me on my old computer but your specs look new
Just curious as to why you would even concider using intergrated graphics when it requires using the same memory as the CPU. This alone causes performance issues with FSX as that particular GMA is put in systems that do not need high levels of graphics. That's not to say it won't work with FSX, but you are cutting your memory down in a big way. With low end intergrated graphics, you get low end results.
BTW, in the screen shot, it looks like the wings of the A330 are super-imposed over the 747 wings. I really wonder if that is really a driver issue at all. Could it be an A330 pretending to be a 747??
I have exactly the same problem. I know why, for me it start when I installed Service Pack 1.
The second problem I had with SP1 was that in Multiplayer if I am the ATC then I can't see outside from the Virtual Cockpit of the Control Center. It's all grey.
I am not sure, but I think it only happens to people with low computer specs
(I use FSX)
Hope this helps.
